Report Title: Contract with Follett Software, LLC for Follett Destiny Solutions effective for five (5) years upon contract execution.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Librarian, or designee, to execute a contract with Follett Software, LLC, subject to the terms of their Follett Destiny Solution Terms and Conditions, in an amount not to exceed $9,092 for the purchase of Follett Destiny Solutions subscription, effective for five (5) years upon contract execution.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Library Fund
BACKGROUND:
Follett Destiny Solutions will replace Sagebrush, the current library management system which is no longer supported by its developer, and will allow patrons at the Juvenile Hall Library and Mt. McKinley School to check items in and out of the system, maintain the Library’s collection and enable patrons to place holds on items. Follet Destiny Solution is a compatible, web-hosted software that meets the needs of both the Library and the Mt. McKinley School.
The terms and conditions include a limitation of liability provision and indemnification language which was reviewed by County Counsel.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without the licensing and implementation of Follett Destiny Solution, Library services at Juvenile Hall may be halted.
