Report Title: Approve and Authorize to fully close a portion of Columbia Avenue on October 5, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., for the purpose of two utility pole replacements, Kensington area.
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator


RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT Resolution approving and authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of Columbia Avenue, between 263 Columbia Avenue and 285 Columbia Avenue, on October 5, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., for the purpose of replacing two utility poles, Kensington area. (District I)

FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:
Due to the narrow road width of Columbia Avenue at the work site, Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) has requested the road closure to replace two existing utility poles. There is insufficient road width to setup and operate boom trucks and safely maintain through traffic. Applicant shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Applicant will be unable to close the road to complete planned utility pole replacement.
