Report Title: Purchase Order with Zoom Video Communications, Inc.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
RESCIND Board Action of April 22, 2024 (C.68), which pertained to authorizing a purchase order with Zoom Video Communications Inc.,; and APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the County Librarian, a purchase order including modified indemnification and limitation of liability with Zoom Video Communication Inc., in an amount not to exceed $10,440 for the renewal of thirty-two (32) Enterprise Essentials licenses and one (1) Webinar 1000 license, effective upon execution and for one year thereafter.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Library Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Library Department has and continues to use Zoom licenses and software provided by Zoom Video Communications Inc., to provide video conferencing functionality for meetings, conferences, public performances, and to conduct interviews.
The Board authorization granted on April 22 was for a subscription term of March 25, 2024 through March 24, 2025. The reauthorization request modifies the term to run for one year from the date of execution. All other terms remain unchanged.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Purchase Order is not approved, the Contra Costa County Library’s IT operations will not be able to function as they have been, and library services to patrons will be impacted.
