IN THE MATTER OF honoring Matthew Rinn, Pleasant Hill City Council Member, for the time he served as a Councilmember for the City of Pleasant Hill.



WHEREAS, Mr. Matthew Rinn was elected to Pleasant Hill City Council in 2016, bringing with him a deep commitment to public service, and community engagement; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Rinn served as Mayor in 2020 and 2024; and

WHEREAS, during his tenure, Mr. Rinn exhibited unwavering dedication to the community, working collaboratively with fellow councilmembers, city staff, and local stakeholders to address the needs of the city and ensure a prosperous future for all who call Pleasant Hill home; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Rinn's leadership abilities were especially evident when he served as Mayor of Pleasant Hill in 2020 and again in 2024, where he demonstrated remarkable resilience, resourcefulness, and empathy in navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic; and

WHEREAS, Mayor, Mr. Rinn played a pivotal role in leading the City of Pleasant Hill's response to the pandemic, advocating for public health measures, supporting the local business community, and prioritizing the well-being of residents during an unprecedented crisis; and
