Referral History:

Proposition 1, the Modernization of Mental Health Services Act, was passed by the voters in March 2024.  This new law, inclusive of SB 326, transformed California’s behavioral health system.

Most notably, this new law mandated the creation of an integrated Behavioral Health Commission effective 01/01/2025. This action requires the termination of the Mental Health Commission as well as the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board in order to form the new integrated commission.
