RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director, a purchase order with R-Computer, Inc. for the purchase of Word Press Engine, a website content management software, in an amount not to exceed $1,096 for the period April 10, 2024 through April 9, 2028.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

Approval of this action will result in expenditures of up to $1,096 and will be funded by 59% Federal, 35% State, and 6% County Funds; all of which is budgeted in FY 2023-24.

 

 

BACKGROUND:

 

The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) needs to renew its Word Press (WP) website content management software that will enable the department to create interactive website content for its public customers. This enables EHSD to generate interactive and engaging content quickly and efficiently for its customers.  This purchase order includes a service agreement that includes indemnification by the County to WP and a limitation of liability to the County by WP.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

Should the proposed action not be approved by the Board of Supervisors, the County will be limited in generating engaging and effective content for the public.
