Staff from the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) presented to the Contra Costa Resilient Shoreline Committee throughout the development of the Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan (RSAP), most recently by Dana Brechwald, BCDC Assistant Planning Director for Climate Adaptation, on September 9, 2024. The RSAP includes a region-wide vision, priorities for a resilient San Francisco Bay shoreline, and guidelines that local governments must follow when developing Subregional Shoreline Adaptation Plans. BCDC adopted the RSAP in December 2024.

Referral Update:

Recommendation(s)/Next Step(s):

RECEIVE presentation on Accelerating Local Adaptation Through the Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan (RSAP) and provide direction to staff as appropriate.

Fiscal Impact (if any):

None.
