Information:

Request for Qualifications Procurement Process for the African American Holistic Wellness and Resource Hub Feasibility Study: By the March 4, 2024 deadline, one application response was received to the original Request for Qualifications drafted by the Steering Committee and originally published through BidSync (the County’s online procurement system) on February 7, 2024 by the Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice. In collaboration with the Steering Committee for the African American Holistic Wellness and Resource Hub Feasibility Study, the ORESJ Co- Directors recommended to the Equity Committee a re-issue of the call for applications as a Request for Proposals and an increase to the total available contract to $180,000. The additional $100,000 would come from the FY 23-24 ORESJ budget, in one-time funds. The Equity Committee approved this request.

Referral History and Update:

The draft Request for Proposals is ready for feedback from the Steering Committee for the African American Holistic Wellness and Resource Hub Feasibility Study. Once approved, the contract can move to the Equity Committee (April 15th meeting). If approved by that body, it can be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for approval.

Recommendation(s)/Next Step(s):

Review, provide edits and feedback, and approve the Request for Proposals to be forwarded to the Equity Committee.
