RECOMMENDATIONS:
Acting as the governing board of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief or designee to execute a contract with Constant Contact, Inc, including mutual indemnification, with an initial annual amount of $10,000 for hosted email marketing software subscription services, valid from June 25, 2024 to June 30, 2025. The agreement also includes the possibility of annual automatic renewals in accordance with the software service agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted. 100% CCCFPD General Operating Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Constant Contact, Inc. is a reputable online marketing company that specializes in providing a comprehensive mass email communication solution. It will allow the District to effectively share information and educational content with the community through newsletters and information releases. These publications will feature District updates, fire and emergency medical services educational information, community events, and incident information.
The Constant Contact, Inc. platform will also be utilized by the District for internal communications, enabling creative, meaningful, and direct communication with all employees.
By leveraging Constant Contact's services, the District can enhance its outreach efforts and ensure that important information reaches a wider audience.
This agreement includes a provision for mutual indemnification between Constant Contact Inc. and the District. It starts with an annual value of $10,000 and automatically renews annually, incorporating automatic escalators as delineated in the software service agreement.
