IN THE MATTER OF recognizing MLK Day 2024 Student Humanitarian Vedant Kathrani.

 

 

WHEREAS, Vedant Kathrani is an 11th grade student at Dougherty Valley High School;

WHEREAS, Vedant Kathrani co-founded Plate to People, with the goals to End Hunger and ensure Food For All;

WHEREAS, Vedant Kathrani’s mission is to teach others the value of food, nurture the quality of giving and give homeless individuals a satiated soul full of food;

WHEREAS, Vedant Kathrani is committed to improving his community and making a meaningful impact in the areas of science, technology, and social responsibility; and

WHEREAS, Vedant Kathrani embodies the spirit and values of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and is recognized as a 2024 MLK Day Student Humanitarian.

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby recognize Vedant Kathrani for receiving its 2024 Student Humanitarian Award, as recommended by the MLK Day Committee.
