RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Amendment No. 1 (Contract Amendment #76-846-1) with Storage Solutions Technology Group Inc., a California corporation, effective February 5, 2026, to amend Contract #76-846, to increase the payment limit by $27,470, from $24,000 to a new payment limit of $51,470, and extend termination date from February 5, 2026 to February 5, 2028, for additional maintenance services for medical imaging equipment for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC).

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Amendment will result in additional annual expenditures of up to $27,470 and will be funded as budgeted by the department in FY's 2026-28, by 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the needs of the County by providing proprietary hardware and software maintenance services for Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine Compact Disc (DICOM CD) burners used by the Diagnostic Imaging unit of CCRMC and its Health Centers. The CD burners import images into CCRMC's Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). The software provides portability, greater storage capacity, and digital importing advantages. The software is proprietary, with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) hardware maintenance performed directly by Storage Solutions Technology Group Inc. (SST). Health Services Personnel approved this Contract to ensure no conflicts with labor relations. This Contractor was approved by the Public Works Department's Purchasing Division on February 10, 2026, in compliance with Administrative Bulletin 600.3 requirements.
