Report Title: Purchase Order with Altamont Software, Inc.
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Health Services Director, (1) a purchase order with Altamont Software, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $7,250 for the period from February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025, and (2) an Altamont Software as a Service Agreement for the license of medical imaging connectivity software.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in expenditures of up to $7,250 and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Health (CCH) seeks to renew its subscription to Altamont CaptureWare software, a crucial tool for the Diagnostic Imaging Department to manage medical images and documents in the County electronic medical record system. The software offers a centralized platform for importing, processing, and outputting diagnostic images and related documents.
Delays were encountered due to processing backlog and policy changes. CCH IT Procurement is actively engaged in collaborative efforts with the vendor and stakeholders to ensure that renewal requests are submitted at least 180 days in advance of expiration, aiming to mitigate potential delays in the future.
The agreement obligates the County to indemnify the contractor for claims arising out of the negligence or omissions of County in performing the agreement.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to approve this renewal will disrupt the seamless management of medical images and documents within the Diagnostic Imaging Department, negatively impacting operational efficiency.
