Report Title: Adjust the hours of various vacant, unfunded positions, and cancel one Medical Social Worker II vacant, unfunded position in the Health Services Department.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 26285 to increase and decrease the hours of various vacant unfunded positions, and cancel one vacant unfunded Medical Social Worker II pos. 20438 in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
All positions are budgeted within the Department for FY 2024-25 and are funded by 100% County General Fund.
BACKGROUND:
On May 21, 2024 under item D.4, which adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Recommended Budget, the Health Services Department added various positions as part of Resolution 2024-182, which were to be established effective July 1, 2024.
Following this action, the Department identified that the position hours necessary to accomplish the necessary program activities did not align with those provided for the modification resolution. The corrections listed in Attachment A are being requested to align the vacant, newly-established, unfunded positions appropriately prior to initial recruitment.
Approval of this action will allow the Department to appropriately recruit and fill the positions in FY 2024-25.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, the positions to be effective July 1, 2024 will not align with program needs.
