Report Title: RESIGNATION ON COUNTY CONNECTION CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Sarah Birdwell, DECLARE a vacancy in the County set on the County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the County Administrator.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
County Connection was formed in 1980 as a Joint Powers Agency under the legal name The Central Contra Costa Transit Authority. Today County Connection provides fixed-route and paratransit bus service throughout the communities of Central Contra Costa County. The County Connection Advisory Committee meets bimonthly to review, analyze, and advise the County Connection Board of Directors on issues and policies relating to fixed-route and paratransit bus service. Committee members also act as a citizen liaison from the represented jurisdictions.
Sarah Birwell was reappointed by the Board of Supervisors, at the recommendation of the Internal Operations Committee, to the County seat on the County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee for a term ending on June 30, 2028.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat will not be declared vacant and a new appointment to the position will not be able to be made.
