RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Health Services Director, a blanket purchase order with MGMA-ACMPE in an amount not to exceed $24,000, and a related agreement, for a membership license to access compensation data for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the period from April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in expenditures of up to $24,000 for a 3-year period and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:
MGMA is a medical group management organization with a proprietary database known as DataDive that provides healthcare benchmarks and data on compensation for various levels of staff. Their datasets can also assist healthcare organizations and medical practices evaluate key performance indicators related to productivity and operations.

In 2022, CCRMC created a one-time purchase order (#025490) for MGMA's DataDive for practice operations. This request is to create a new purchase order for the rights to access to their provider, management and staff compensation data sets that include statistical tables, reports, summaries, and research findings, etc. which will assist CCRMC Administration in evaluating contract terms during agreement negotiations. The related agreement includes limited warranty and liability provisions.

This request was initiated in April 2023, however, there were several issues during negotiations causing significant delays. CCRMC will continue to make every effort to begin purchase order processes several months in advance to allow time for negotiations and other issues to be resolved.
