RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director, a Purchase Order and related agreement with Constant Contact, Inc. to procure Premium Contacts, in an amount not to exceed $16,830, for the period March 15, 2024 through March 14, 2027. 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

$16,830 (59% Federal; 35% State; 6% County) all of which is budgeted in FY 23/24.

 

BACKGROUND:

 

The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD), Information Technology Unit (IT), needs to renew services with Constant Contact, Inc. that will enable EHSD staff to send out mass e-mailing. This will allow staff to do effective e-mail marketing that will inform clients of EHSD’s programs and services in an easy-to-read format as well as organizing contacts for targeting appropriate clients for services.  This purchase order includes a service agreement that includes mutual indemnification by the County and Constant Contact, Inc., that has been approved by County Counsel.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

Should the proposed action not be approved by the Board of Supervisors, the County will be restricted in its ability to mass email and inform clients of the department’s services.
