Report Title: Purchase Order with GE Precision Healthcare LLC
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Health Services Director, a purchase order with GE Precision HealthCare LLC in an amount not to exceed $80,845, and related agreement for a replacement NGB Flashpad detector cassette utilized at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action would result in a one-time capital expenditure of up to $80,845 and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.
BACKGROUND:
CCRMC’s current GE Flashpad detector is broken, at its end of useful life, and can no longer be repaired. It is a wireless x-ray detector that delivers high image quality at low radiation dose levels. It is the only detector capable of high-frame-rate imaging that enables advanced applications on high-end GE radiography systems. It features ultra-wideband wireless communication technology that transfers data quickly and reliably and can be easily shared between compatible GE x-ray systems due to its wireless design. On February 26, 2024 the Purchasing Agent approved the continued use of GE Precision HealthCare LLC (GE HealthCare).
Board of Supervisor approval is requested due to GE HealthCare's terms and conditions limiting their liability for direct damages to the County to not exceed the cost for products or services.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, CCRMC will not be able to replace this piece of diagnostic imaging equipment jeopardizing CCRMC’s ability to provide fast, reliable, accurately produced images for healthcare providers and patients.
