IN THE MATTER OF honoring Michael J. Huth on the occasion of his retirement from the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department, as recommended by Supervisor Carlson.


WHEREAS, Michael J. Huth has faithfully dedicated his professional career to the protection of the public and the service of his community through his unwavering commitment to law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, Officer Huth began his distinguished career with the Walnut Creek Police Department, where he proudly served as a Patrol Officer and as a member of the Bomb Squad Team, demonstrating exceptional courage, professionalism, and dedication to public safety; and
WHEREAS, Officer Huth continued his exemplary service with the Concord Police Department, where he served with distinction as a member of the Gang Enforcement Team, a Field Training Officer, a member of the S.W.A.T. Team, and a Crime Scene Investigator, mentoring future officers while contributing to countless successful investigations and high-risk operations; and
WHEREAS, Officer Huth concluded his law enforcement career with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office, serving on the County Board of Supervisors Security Unit, where he continued to exemplify the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and public service; and
