Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Human Resources, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with ioPredict, Inc., to increase the payment limit by $100,000 to a new payment limit of $299,000, for professional services including employment test development, test validation to ensure accuracy, and related job analysis for various County classifications, with no change to the term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The cost will be offset by charges to user departments that will utilize the services. (100% User Departments)

BACKGROUND:

In 2022, the County approved a contract with ioPredict, Inc., to provide recruitment test development, validation, and test rental services.

ioPredict Job analysis services identify and evaluate all critical and important work behaviors associated with the classification as well as the knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics (KSAPC’s) needed to perform the work behaviors. ioPredict testing services provide standardized tests and evaluation metrics for various job classifications. These services are used to complement the County’s recruitment process and ensure the County is recruiting the most qualified candidates for all open positions.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract extension is not approved, the County will be unable to utilize recruitment testing services, thereby impacting the ability to identify and hire qualified candidates.
