RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, a Participating Addendum with Mohawk Lifts, LLC., in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000, for the distribution of Vehicle Lifts and Garage Associated Equipment for use by Public Works Fleet Services, during the period of December 3, 2024 through March 31, 2028, under the terms of the Master Contract awarded by the State of California, Department of General Services Procurement Division, and distributed through Mohawk Lifts, LLC.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Product and service costs paid by Public Works Fleet Services. (100% User Departments)
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County Purchasing Services is requesting approval of a Participating Addendum for Vehicle Lifts and Garage Associated Equipment offered through Mohawk Lifts, LLC. Products are guaranteed through the master contract awarded by the State of California, Department of General Services Procurement Division. Approval of the addendum between Contra Costa County and Mohawk Lifts, LLC, allows the County to obtain guaranteed pricing available through the State of California contract, and obtain substantial discounts off published list prices. This will allow the Public Works Fleet Division to purchase Vehicle Lifts and Garage Associate Equipment at discount prices.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of this agreement, the County would be paying full price on the garage associated equipment purchased today.
