RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE Budget Amendment No. BDA-26-00608 to transfer capital appropriations from General Fund Copy Center - Concord (4243-4956) to General Fund Resource Recycling (4036-4956) for the purchase of two industrial paper shredder/baler machines in the amount of $120,000.00.

BACKGROUND:
Funds in the amount of $120,000.00 have been appropriated to the Copy Center - Concord capital account for the purchase of an upgraded inserter. Funds were not encumbered in this Fiscal Year for that purchase. Resource Recycling can utilize these funds to purchase two industrial paper shredder/baler machines to support confidential document shredding operations.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
General Fund Resource Recycling would not have the capital budget to make the purchase of two industrial paper shredder/baler machines for this Fiscal Year.
