DIRECT the Director of Department of Conservation and Development (DCD), or designee, to file a Notice of Exemption (NOE) with the County Clerk, and

AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to arrange for payment of a $25 fee to DCD for processing, and a $50 fee to the County Clerk for filing the NOE.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Estimated Project cost: $1,102,168. 22% Federal Emergency Relief Funds, 78% Local Road Funds.

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of the project is to replace the existing failed 36-inch diameter corrugated steel pipe culvert beneath Springbrook Road and repair the roadway, including strengthening the compromised roadway embankment and adding drainage structures for long-term maintenance activities. The culvert conveys water from properties bordering where the pipe crosses the County maintained roadway. The culvert inlet and outlet occur on adjacent residential properties.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Delay in approving the project may result in a delay of design and construction and may jeopardize funding.
