Report Title: Lease with RPE Muir, LLC for 1340 Arnold Drive, Suite 126, Martinez
RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a lease with RPE Muir, LLC for approximately 4,571 square feet of office space located at 1340 Arnold Drive, Suite 126, in Martinez, for a five-year term with two two-year renewal options, with an initial annual rent of $104,219, and annual increases thereafter, as requested by the Health Services Department. AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to exercise any options to extend the lease term.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% General Fund (Central Health Mental Health Division Administrative Cost Center - Org 5941).
BACKGROUND:
Various Health Services Department groups have occupied this space since 2013. Currently, Behavioral Health operates programs in this suite and have elected to remain in this location to allow continuation of services without disruption.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Behavioral Health group’s work would be disrupted, and the County would incur additional costs to locate an alternate location and relocate this group.
