Report Title: Final Settlement of Claim, Roberta Analla vs. Contra Costa County
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator
RECOMMENDATIONS:
RECEIVE this report concerning the final settlement of Roberta Analla and AUTHORIZE payment from the Workers' Compensation Internal Service Fund in an amount not to exceed $182,500.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Workers' Compensation Internal Service Fund payment of $182,500.
BACKGROUND:
Attorney Christian S. Groneberg, defense counsel for the County, has advised the County Administrator that within authorization an agreement has been reached settling the workers' compensation claim of Roberta Analla (aka Roberta Haynes) v. Contra Costa County. The Board's September 15, 2026, closed session vote was: Supervisors Gioia, Andersen, Carlson and Scales-Preston - Yes; Supervisor Burgis - absent. This action is taken so that the terms of this final settlement and the earlier September 15, 2026, closed session vote of this Board authorizing its negotiated settlement are known publicly.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Case will not be settled.
