Report Title:                     Resolution of Acceptance and Completion for the 2023 Countywide Surface Treatment Project, Bay Point, Pacheco, Contra Costa Centre, and Kirker Pass areas

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

ADOPT Resolution accepting as complete the contracted work performed by NWP for the 2023 Countywide Surface Treatment Project, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Bay Point, Pacheco, Contra Costa Centre, and Kirker Pass areas. County Project No. 0672-6U2112, (District II, IV, and V); and DIRECT the Public Works Director, or designee, to record the Resolution and Notice of Completion within 15 days of adoption per Civil Code Sect. 9204.

 

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

The Project was funded by 97% SB1 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Funds and 3% Cal Recycle Grant Funds.

 

 

BACKGROUND:

 

The Public Works Director reports that said work has been inspected and complies with the approved plans, special provisions and standard specifications and recommends its acceptance as complete as of December 16, 2024.

 

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

Payment to the Contractor may be delayed and the County may be subject to a longer period for filing of claims and additional project administration expenses.
