IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing Camilla Rodriguez Cantwell as the 2026 Youth Hall of Fame Rising Star Awardee for Perseverance

WHEREAS, Camilla Cantwell is a dedicated and compassionate student who has demonstrated strong leadership, and resilience through her various contributions to her school, local community, and beyond; and
WHEREAS, with remarkable composure and professionalism, Camilla has taken initiative in recognizing emergency situations and promptly contacted emergency assistance by contacting 911; and
WHEREAS, despite the challenges she has encountered, she consistently demonstrated academic excellence by maintained Honor Roll status. Camilla is a member of the Kindness Club and the T.U.P.E Club (Tobacco Use Prevention Education), where she dedicates her lunchtime to educating fellow students about tobacco prevention and encouraging healthy decision-making. She is also actively involved in the school band; and
WHEREAS, in addition, she is dedicated in community service, generously volunteering with her Girl Scout Troop and the Discovery Bay Lions Club. Through these organizations, she has contributed to events such as the Special Needs Carnival, Thanksgiving meals for families in need, Cocoa with Santa, and many other meaningful and heartwarming community initiatives; and
