Report Title: Approve and Authorize the acceptance and subsequent conveyance to the Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District of certain offers of dedication for "Ardmore," "Beloit," and "Coventry" pathways in Kensington.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT the attached Resolution to accept, on behalf of the County, certain offers of dedication for paths located within the Kensington area (District 1) identified as "Ardmore," "Beloit," and "Coventry" pathways ("Trails") in subdivision maps at Book 5 of Maps 103, et seq., and Book 6 of Maps 150, et seq., in the Official Records of the Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder, pursuant to Government Code section 66477.1.
DETERMINE that the County acquired the Trails for recreational trail purposes and no longer requires the Trails for those purposes, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code section 960.
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the "Agreement between Contra Costa County and the Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District for the Operation and Maintenance of Recreational Trails in Kensington" ("Agreement").
DETERMINE that contributing County funds to the Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District ("District") under the Agreement to defray the District's maintenance and operation costs is in the County's interest and necessary to meet the social needs of the County, including health and recreation.
AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute the quitclaim deed attached as Exhibit B to the Agreement ("Quitclaim Deed"), to quitclaim to the District all of the County's right, title, and interest in the Trails that the County acquired by the Resolution.
