Report Title: Purchase Order with Dell Technologies for the purchase of Dell equipment and hardware to support the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) Geographic Information Systems computer refresh initiative.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, to execute a purchase order with Dell Technologies in an amount not to exceed $25,000, subject to Dell's Terms of Sale and NASPO agreement 23026, for the purchase of Dell equipment and hardware to support the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) Geographic Information Systems computer refresh initiative
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this product is included in the department's FY 26-27 budget (100% User Departments).
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is committed to keeping technology current to effectively support our workforce. The last computer refresh cycle occurred within the past five (5) years. A regular computer refresh is essential to ensure employees have reliable, secure, and efficient technology to perform their work. Upgrading equipment improves performance, reduces downtime, and helps maintain compatibility with modern applications and systems.
In addition, refreshing devices allows us to replace underperforming or end-of-life equipment. Newer hardware typically requires less maintenance and support, which helps reduce long-term costs while improving the overall user experience and increasing productivity.
The NASPO contract 23026 includes a limitation of liability capping Dell's liability to two (2) times the amount paid by County for the products or services given rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the event.
