Report Title: DECLARE At-Large Representative Seat four (4) vacant on the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council.
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator
RECOMMENDATIONS:
DECLARE a vacancy in At-Large Seat four (4) on the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) with a term ending October 22, 2026, and DIRECT the clerk of the board to post the vacancy as recommended by the County Probation Officer.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
As outlined in the JJCC bylaws, members appointed by the Board of Supervisors may be declared inactive if they miss three consecutive meetings or fail to fulfill their duties for a three-month period. Based on Jon Green's three consecutive absences, the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council has made the recommendation to remove Jon Green. This will leave the At-Large Seat four (4) vacant. He has been notified of this removal via email.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The committee will not have a member who actively participates, and it will be difficult to reach quorum.
