RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute an amendment to a revenue agreement, including any amendments or extensions thereof, pursuant to the Regional Equity and Recovery Partnership guidelines, with the California Workforce Development Board and Labor and Workforce Development Agency with no change to the budget amount, to extend the term from October 31, 2025 to December 31, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:
No Fiscal Impact.

BACKGROUND:
On February 28, 2023, (C.65) the Board approved the funding application and accepted funds for revenue agreement (Contract #M87984-7120) under the Regional Equity and Recovery Partnership (RERP) initiative collaborative effort between the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB), Labor & Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), and other state partners. An extension was approved by the Board on August 8, 2023 (C.17), which extended the term to October 31, 2025. The agreement supports regional economic recovery, equity, and workforce development through systems alignment, capacity building, and inclusive economic growth strategies.
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is seeking approval for a no-cost extension of the existing agreement, extending the term through December 31, 2026, with no changes to the total allocation or scope of work. This extension will allow continued alignment with regional and state workforce development goals and uninterrupted services under the RERP initiative.
