Report Title: Purchase Order Amendment with Blaisdell’s Business Products.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, an amendment to a blanket purchase order with Blaisdell’s Business Products (Blaisdell’s), to increase the payment limit by $1,500,000 to a new payment limit of $3,500,000 and extend the term through May 31, 2026, for office products and supplies to be used throughout the County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Products costs are paid by County Departments. (100% User Departments)
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County Purchasing Services is requesting approval of an amendment to the blanket purchase order with Blaisdell’s to be used by County departments for the ordering of office products and supplies. Prices are based on the Omnia Partners Cooperative Purchasing Contract #R190301. This blanket purchase order allows the County to consolidate purchases and maximize savings. Blaisdell’s is a small, local provider that can assist the County in meeting its small business goals.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without this amendment, the blanket purchase order with Blaisdell’s Business Products will expire May 31, 2025.
