Report Title:                     Lease Amendment for 3361 Walnut Boulevard, Suite 140, Brentwood

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE a Second Lease Amendment with Brentwood Walnut B, LLC, to extend the initial term through December 31, 2027, for a total of approximately 2,107 square feet of office space in the building located at 3361 Walnut Boulevard, Suite 140, Brentwood, for occupancy by District 3 Supervisor, at a monthly rent of $4,742.89 for calendar year 2025, with annual rent increases thereafter.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% General Fund.

BACKGROUND:

This space has served as the office for the Board of Supervisor in District 3 since 2011. The lease is being extended through December 31, 2027, to enable the Supervisor to continue serving the community from this location until the office is relocated.  Reasonable rent rates have been negotiated with the Lessor to allow affordability of the space for the County.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If the Lease Amendment is not approved, County will exercise the option to extend the term for a longer period than needed.
