RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with STAND! For Families Free of Violence, in an amount not to exceed $1,101,375 for the provision of Comprehensive Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention services to California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids and Welfare-to-Work recipients for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:
$1,101,375: 100% (Federal) California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS), of which $367,125 is budgeted in FY 2024-2025, $367,125 will be budgeted in FY 25-26, and $367,125 will be budgeted in FY 26-27.

BACKGROUND:
Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) provides comprehensive domestic violence and support services throughout the County as an integral part of the CalWORKs and Welfare to Work Programs. Domestic violence services are designed to identify County recipients and applicants who are past or present victims of domestic violence and provide assistance to address the effects of domestic violence in the family with the final goal of obtaining employment and becoming self-sufficient. EHSD awarded Contractor new Contract #20-568 as a result of Contractor's submittal for services in response to EHSD's Request for Proposal #1208 as conducted through County Procurement Department with an effective date of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027.
