RECOMMENDATIONS:

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Department will be reimbursed in an amount up to $42,421 by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. 100% State funds.

BACKGROUND:

Contra Costa County Agriculture/Weights & Measures Department has a long history of weed management and weed abatement. The Department has worked closely with state parks, regional parks districts, regional water districts, various other entities, and private landowners to control noxious weeds. The Department will be implementing control methods and mapping noxious weeds to protect endangered species as well as promote regrowth of native and desirable plants.
