Report Title: Purchase Order with Bay Area Parent

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Director of Child Support Services, a purchase order with Bay Area Parent in an amount not to exceed $24,812 to provide advertising services for the period June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This purchase order will be fully funded by allocations from the Federal Government at 66% and State of California at 34%.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Child Support Services utilizes Bay Area Parent to post targeted advertisements across various online platforms. These types of directed advertisements will help increase awareness for Child Support Services available in Contra Costa County.
The Terms and Conditions of the purchase order include a Limitation of Liability and Indemnification provision approved by County Counsel.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the Department will have difficulty reaching customers who may not know about Child Support Services.
