Report Title: Contract Amendment with Delta Personnel Services, Inc. for Security Services

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Librarian, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Delta Personnel Services, Inc., dba Guardian Security Agency, to extend the term through June 30, 2025, with no change to the payment limit.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Library Fund - No impact to the General Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Delta Personnel Services (dba Guardian Security Agency) provides onsite security at the Martinez Library, Concord Library, San Pablo Library and Walnut Creek Library, and on-call as needed security services at all other Library locations and Library Administration. The Library’s current contract with Delta Personnel Services expires on December 31, 2024. The Library is requesting approval for a contract amendment to extend the contract term through June 30, 2025, while we complete the RFP process to secure a vendor beginning on July 1, 2025. The amendment also incorporates a modification to the vendor’s hourly rates.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, County Library building sites, property and staff will not have security and safety mechanisms in place.
