RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a Participating Addendum with Liquidity Services Operations, LLC., dba GovDeals, in an amount not to exceed $900,000, for auction services with related solutions, for use by multiple divisions of the Public Works Department, during the period of August 25, 2026 through January 27, 2029, under the terms of a cooperative purchasing contract awarded by Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota public agency, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Product costs paid by the Fleet Internal Service Fund (100% Fleet Internal Service Fund)
BACKGROUND:
Sourcewell is a State of Minnesota public agency that negotiates cooperative purchasing contracts after completing a competitive solicitation. Contract terms are made available to public agencies participating in the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program. Contra Costa Purchasing Services requests participating addendum approval for the purchase of auction services with related solutions offered through Liquidity Services Operations, LLC., dba GovDeals. The County's participating addendum incorporates the terms of a cooperative services contract awarded by Sourcewell, to Liquidity Services Operations, LLC., dba GovDeals (Sourcewell Contract No. 111424-GDI). Participating addendum approval allows the County to obtain guaranteed pricing available through Sourcewell. Purchases support the Public Works Department with auction services with related solutions, providing critical services for discounted prices.
