Report Title: Reclamation District 800 Appointments

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPOINT, in lieu of election, Bob Lyman and Frank Morgan to the Board of Trustees of Reclamation District 800 for four year terms beginning January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2029.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors received correspondence from the District Secretary for Reclamation District 800 stating that the District had the intention of holding an election for two trustee positions in November 2025. However, the number of valid petitions received did not exceed the number of positions available and the District therefore will not be holding an election and has requested that the Board of Supervisors appoint Bob Lyman and Frank Morgan to four-year terms on the Reclamation District 800 Board of Trustees.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The proposed nominees to the Board of Trustees for Reclamation District 800 would not be appointed, and the District would have difficulty conducting business.
