Report Title: Vacancy on the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Eduardo Torres, DECLARE a vacancy in Seat 6 on the Municipal Advisory Council for a term ending on December 31, 2028, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council advises the Board of Supervisors or other local government agencies on issues and concerns related to the unincorporated area of Bay Point. The Council shall consist of seven (7) members who are residents of Bay Point and serve four (4) year terms. The members shall be selected and appointed by the Board of Supervisors, upon nomination by the District V Supervisor.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat would not be declared vacant which would hinder the ability to recruit to fill the position and could cause quorum issues for the body.
