☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of Chief Information Officer, or designee, to execute a purchase order with AT&T Enterprises, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for the purchase of UCS Blades.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this product is included in the department’s FY 25-26 budget (100% User Departments).
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) Team is modernizing the Primary Data Center in the County. As part of this effort, the DoIT Team proposes to purchase UCS blades through the authorized third-party reseller AT&T.
UCS blades are server modules designed to provide compact, high-performance computing and support large-scale telecom and IT infrastructure. These modules are a key component of a centralized management system and are capable of supporting enterprise server workloads such as applications and databases, cloud hosting environments, and internal business systems. The server modules deliver scalable computing for data centers, allowing the County to meet business needs.
This procurement is being made using FOCUS contract number 2021246.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Not upgrading the primary data center infrastructure increases security exposure, operational risk, and long-term costs.
