RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPOINT Wilson Cheng to the Consumer Under 60 Seat #1 with a term expiring March 6, 2028 and Rose Acampora to the Under 60 Seat #2 with a term expiring March 6, 2026 on the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee, as recommended by the Family and Human Services Committee.

BACKGROUND:
The Board established the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority Advisory Committee in March 1998. Terms of membership are four years.
The Mission of the Public Authority Advisory Committee is to provide advice and assistance to the Board, Public Authority, and IHSS staff; and to provide a forum for discussion for consumers of personal assistance services, providers, advocates, and other interested parties to participate in Public Authority policy and program development. The primary role of the Advisory Committee is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Public Authority Governing Board (Board), Public Authority staff, and the administrators of ln-Home Supportive Services (IHSS).
At the September 8, 2025, Family and Human Services Meeting, the Committee approved the appointment Wilson Cheng to the Consumer Under 60 Seat #1 with a term expiring March 6, 2028 and Rose Acampora to the Under 60 Seat #2 with a term expiring March 6, 2026 on the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to appoint and reappoint members is likely to reduce public participation in advising policy development.
