APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Counsel, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County a contract amendment with Sophus Consulting, to increase the payment limit by $75,000 to a new payment limit of $225,000 and extend the term through June 30, 2027, for additional case management consulting services.

FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:

The County Counsel’s Office has worked with Sophus Consulting for the implementation of and ongoing support of the ProLaw case management system from 2023 to present. The ProLaw system has substantially streamlined operations by simplifying procedures and significantly reduced the time spent entering data across multiple platforms. The contract amendment will update the current ProLaw environment (v31) to ProLaw v31.x or v32. Additionally, Sophus Consulting will provide project management and ongoing support, including system maintenance, automation, training, document and reporting enhancements, along with AIT-related services and software subscription.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Sophus Consulting will not provide the consulting and support services needed for the ProLaw case management system.
