RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Gursimran Khahera, DECLARE a vacancy in the Consumer 3 - Central/South County seat on Local Planning and Advisory Council for Early Care and Education, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Contra Costa County Office of Education.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
On May 21, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved the appointment of Gursimran Khahera to the Child Care Consumer 3 - Central/South County seat on the Contra Costa Local Planning and Advisory Council for Early Care and Education with a term ending April 30, 2026.
Gursimran Khahera has submitted his resignation from the seat.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to declare the vacancy and to fill the seat will result in reduced public participation.
