Report Title: Conveyance of an Easement at 1034 Oak Grove Road, Concord to the Contra Costa Water District, in connection with the Oak Grove Crisis Hub Center Project

RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. APPROVE the conveyance of a 150-square-foot easement for waterline purposes over a portion of 1034 Oak Grove Road, Concord that has Assessor's Parcel Number 129-190-043, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6, from the County to the Contra Costa Water District (CCWD), in connection with the Oak Grove Crisis Hub Center Project. (County Project No.: 225-2202, WH380A, CCWD Project NO. 326001).

2. DETERMINE that the conveyance of the easement is in the public interest and will not substantially conflict or interfere with the County's use of the property.

3. AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute two (2) original copies of the Grant of Easement to CCWD on behalf of the County, and DIRECT the clerk of the board to notarize the Chair's signatures.

4. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to return the two (2) executed and notarized original copies of the Grant of Easement to the Public Works Department for hand-delivery to CCWD. CCWD will subsequently accept, execute, and formally record the easement.

FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:
The County is currently constructing the Oak Grove Crisis Hub Center Project at 1034 Oak Grove Road. As part of the site development, the facility requires new utility connections.
Due to site constraints and premise isolation standards, the backflow prevention devices that are part of the new utility connection assembly must be located approximately 3 feet inside the County's property line, enclosed within a landscape area.
