RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment #74-475-178(3) with Discover Me | Us Marriage and Family Therapy Prof. Corp. (dba Discover Me Us Counseling Services), a professional corporation, effective August 1, 2026, to amend Contract #74-475-178(2), to increase the payment limit by $210,000, to an amount not to exceed $430,000, to provide additional Medi-Cal specialty mental health services to beneficiaries in Contra Costa County, with no change in the term ending June 30, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Contract Amendment will result in additional annual expenditures of up to $210,000 and will be funded by 30% Federal Medi-Cal revenues, 30% State Mental Health Realignment funds, and 40% Contra Costa Health Plan fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County's population by providing Medi-Cal specialty mental health services for members of all ages in Contra Costa County. Services include but are not limited to providing assessment, testing, therapy and medication monitoring for treatment of anxiety, bipolar, depression, grief/loss, personality disorders, substance related disorders, and sexual and gender identity disorders. This Contractor has been providing these services as part of the Department's Behavioral Health Services Network since April of 2024.

This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code ?? 26227 and 31000; Welfare and Institutions Code ? 5775 et seq.; Welfare and Institutions Code ?? 14680-14685; and California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 9 ? 1810.100 et seq. ...
