Report Title: Contract With SalePoint, Inc. for Cash Drawers & Software Effective for Three Years From the Date the Contract is Signed
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Librarian or designee to execute a Contract with SalePoint, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $17,900 for the purchase of one (1) cash drawer and one (1) J-Point software license for the cash drawer for a three-year term, effective the date the agreement is signed.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Library Fund.
BACKGROUND:
The Library currently uses outdated cash registers and unsupported cash register software that require an analogue phone line with copper wiring. This software is incompatible with modern Windows systems and must be run on a dedicated computer. The recommended acquisition is necessary to test J-Point hardware and software so that cash transactions in the Library branches can be easily tracked and reconciled.
The terms and conditions include a limitation of liability provision and indemnification language reviewed by County Counsel.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this purchase is not approved, the cash registers and software will eventually fail, preventing reconciliation of transactions with bank deposits.
