RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Health Services Director, a purchase Order with Computacenter United States Inc. in an amount not to exceed $800,000 for the purchase of data communication equipment for the period from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in expenditures of up to $800,000 over a three-year period and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.

BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Health (CCH) current information technology infrastructure is built upon Cisco Systems, Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Company data communication equipment. This infrastructure serves critical functions across the hospital, clinics, and ancillary sites, ensuring seamless connectivity for all users. As our data centers expand to accommodate the growth of EPIC, our electronic medical record, and its accompanying operation systems, maintaining all hardware is crucial.

Purchases will leverage cooperative agreements established by the State of California for discounted pricing. This includes access to Cisco Systems, Inc. products through the State of California Participating Addendum Number 7-20-70-47-01 and Utah NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement AR3227, as well as HPE Company products through State of California Participating Addendum Number 7-20-70-47-04 and Utah NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement AR3228. Computacenter United States Inc., as the authorized reseller under these agreements, will facilitate the sales services.
