Report Title: Purchase Order with SSP Data for Adobe

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order with SSP Data in an amount not to exceed $25,734 for Adobe Acrobat Pro for Enterprise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Sign Solutions for Enterprise, and an Adobe End User License Agreement for the period November 30, 2025 through November 30, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Local Road, Flood Control, and Special Districts Funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department uses Adobe Acrobat Pro for Enterprise, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Sign Solutions for Enterprise software that enables Public Works staff to create, redact, and convert PDF documents quickly and efficiently.
Adobe’s End User License Agreement (EULA) includes an indemnification provision from the County to Adobe for any claims based on the County’s use of the software. The EULA also contains a limitation of liability limiting Adobe’s liability to the amount paid for the software. This action is a renewal of the Adobe Acrobat Pro for Enterprise, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Sign Solutions for Enterprise licenses through a reseller, SSP Data an authorized reseller of Adobe software.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Not renewing Adobe licensing will limit the Public Works Department’s ability to efficiently create, redact and convert documents.
