RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement # 74-641-4 with A & A Health Services, LLC, a limited liability company, effective December 1, 2024, to amend Contract #74-641-3, to increase the payment limit by $52,364 from $1,266,915 to a new payment limit of $1,319,279, for additional treatment services for new adult serious mental illness (SMI) clients with no change in the term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Amendment will result in additional annual expenditures of up to $52,364 and will be funded by 100% State Grant Funds. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County's population by providing residential facilities for adults who require support and are being discharged from state hospitals or psychiatric health facilities and require step-down care to transition to community living. Contractor has been providing residential and mental health services to County since January 1, 2022.

This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: Welfare and Institutions Code ?? 5600, et seq. (The Bronzan McCorquodale Act); California Code of Regulations ("CCR"), Title 9, ?? 523, et seq. (Community Mental Health Services); California Government Code ?? 26227 and 31000. This Contract was approved by Health Services Personnel to ensure there is no conflict with labor relations. Contractor shall comply with requirements and procedures established by the County, State and Federal governments for quality assurance and utilization review, including but not limited to, submission to County of periodic quality assurance reports, assignment of staff for utilizati...
