RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 26605 to reclassify Information Systems Manager I position #20521 and its incumbent to Information Systems Manager II at salary plan and grade ZA5 2031 ($12,673.15-$15,404.30) in the Department of Information Technology (Represented)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in additional annual expenditures of $13,904.60, which includes $2,031.32 in pension costs. This position is 100% funded through the department.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Information Technology Personnel received a completed Position Description Questionnaire for position #20521 to be reclassified from Information Systems Manager I (LTNA) to Information Systems Manager II (LTNB). Upon review of the Position Description Questionnaire, it was determined that the incumbent was performing duties of the higher classification. The essential duties included significant overlap in the typical tasks of the Information Systems Manager II job spec.
Human Resources conducted a classification study which consisted of a review of the position description questionnaire (PDQ), a meeting with the incumbent, and a meeting with the Chief of Administrative Services, the incumbent's direct supervisor. On June 9, 2026, HR conducted a detailed desk audit with the incumbent via Microsoft Teams. This was followed by a meeting with their supervisor on June 30, 2026, to further discuss the role.
After a thorough evaluation of all information gathered, it has been determined that the duties currently being performed exceed the scope of the Information Systems Manager I classification and are fully consistent with the responsibilities assigned to the Information Syste...
